Potting soil:Camellia sinensis is suitable for moist, organic, well-drained, slightly acidic soil with a pH of 6-6.5. Waterlogged soil may cause root rot. For example, 1/2 red sandy soil (Arenosols), 1/4 coco coir, 1/4 peat moss (sphagnum moss). Coco coir has a high salt content and needs to be washed with water before use. You can also buy camellia soil directly. Generally, change the soil once every 1-2 years to avoid the soil from becoming compacted and affecting the growth of the plant. When planting in pots, choose a pot with a diameter larger than 45 cm (18 inches).
